About the Laurel Ridge PTA
What is the PTA?
The Laurel Ridge Parent Teacher ES Association is really YOUR PTA. We are a local chapter of the national organization.
Primary Role: build strong working relationships among parents, teachers, and schools, in support of students.

What We Do

Our job as the PTA is to advocate on behalf of our students, and to make their experience and our teachers’ jobs more enjoyable, enriching, and rewarding.
Our goal is not simply to fundraise but to support Laurel Ridge and our teachers by providing our students with the best learning environment possible. We also encourage a sense of community among our Laurel Ridge families.

Our work also includes:
-
Recruiting and coordinating volunteers
-
Organizing family education and community engagement events
-
Planning staff appreciation events
-
And much more!

When Do We Meet?
There are 4 general PTA membership meetings each year, open to ALL of our LRES community, not just dues-paying members. Follow our calendar or subscribe to the Eagle Flyer for meeting details.
PTA-organized events are also open to all of our LRES students and families, regardless of PTA membership status.
